TX Arms AR15 Buffer

Price range: $14.49 through $59.99

Description

This is the AR15 Buffer. The buffer and buffer spring are the heart and soul of your rifle. Your buffer and spring are responsible for absorbing the energy of your BCG as at travels rearward, and then pumping and powering that BCG back through the shooting cycle to pick up the next round and feed it reliably into the chamber.

There are 4 main weights that describe your AR15 buffer that are common.

Carbine – 3.0 oz
H1 – 3.8 oz
H2 – 4.6 oz
H3 – 5.4 oz

The carbine buffer consists of an aluminum body, with 3 steel weights inside. The H1 has two steel weights, and one tungsten weight. The H2 has two tungsten weights…etc.

When selecting a buffer it is important to select the correct weight and spring combo for your rifle to operate properly. The carbine weight buffer is designed for a rifle length gas system, and the H1, H2, and H3 is typically going to be better suited for shorter barrels and gas systems from there with the H2 being the most universal middle ground as long as your rifle doesn’t have any major gas leaks or issues.

Pair these buffers with a Sprinco recoil spring for the perfect combination that will serve your rifle a lifetime of reliability. (I typically run a H2 buffer and Sprinco blue spring in my rifle)
