Exigent Defense FireTeam556 Suppressor

$875.00

The Exigent FireTeam556 suppressor combines B&T-certified 32 Mil dBA acoustic performance with a DMLS single-piece Inconel 718 body — no welds, no joints, full-auto rated. Because it’s built from the same superalloy used in jet engines, it handles sustained-fire duty cycles that conventional suppressor materials can’t match. Available in CERAKOTE® C-102 Graphite Black or raw Inconel 718. Optimized for 5.56 NATO and .223 Rem on barrels 10.3 inches and longer. Mount sold separately.

Description

Exigent Defense FireTeam556 Suppressor

The Exigent FireTeam556 suppressor packages the acoustic performance of Exigent’s Vanish556 into a compact Inconel 718 platform built for operators who run hard and cannot afford a structural failure mid-mission. Manufactured through Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS), the FireTeam556 achieves 32 Mil dBA of B&T-certified sound reduction on 5.56 NATO platforms while maintaining full-auto rated durability. At 5.75 inches and 14.2 ounces, it fits inside most carbine handguards without adding significant length to the host. Because the single-piece DMLS body eliminates welded seams and conventional joints, there are no traditional failure points — just a unified structure engineered to handle sustained pressure and heat cycles.

Inconel 718 is a nickel superalloy used in jet engines and high-temperature industrial applications. It handles thermal cycling and oxidation better than titanium or stainless steel in sustained-fire scenarios, which means the FireTeam556 maintains its geometry and seal integrity under conditions that degrade conventional suppressor materials. An integrated five-port counterrotation flash hider channels expanding gases off the bore axis, reducing back-pressure and blowback and producing a perceivably reduced flash signature. Available in CERAKOTE® C-102 Graphite Black for additional abrasion and wear resistance, or in a raw Inconel 718 finish — the base material’s inherent corrosion resistance means the uncoated variant handles environmental exposure without relying on a protective coating. Optimized for 5.56 NATO and .223 Rem on barrels 10.3 inches and longer. Mount sold separately.

Why This Product Stands Out

Most 5.56 suppressors force a choice between acoustic performance and durability. Exigent built the FireTeam556 to reject that tradeoff. By combining the internal architecture of the Vanish556 — one of the best-reviewed 5.56 suppressors in its class — with Inconel 718, Exigent delivers a suppressor that performs at the acoustic level of top-tier options while outlasting them under sustained fire. Inconel 718 is a nickel superalloy used in jet turbines and downhole drilling — not a marketing claim, an engineering decision backed by the material’s proven behavior under extreme thermal and mechanical stress.

The DMLS manufacturing process is what makes the FireTeam556’s internal geometry possible. Traditional machining can’t produce the baffle paths and flow channels that DMLS enables, and those internal geometries are directly responsible for the gas management, sound attenuation, and reduced blowback the FireTeam556 delivers. Furthermore, because the body is a single unbroken piece, there are no seams to erode, no brazed joints to crack, and no weak points that accumulate heat differently than the surrounding material.

The 1.375×24 HUB mount interface is the current industry standard for quick-detach suppressors — compatible with the Plan B muzzle device system Exigent recommends, as well as Rearden HUB mounts stocked at TX Arms. Built-in wrench flats mean you can torque the can properly without specialized tools. At $875, the FireTeam556 competes directly against titanium and stainless options from Dead Air and SilencerCo that don’t offer Inconel construction or DMLS manufacturing.

Ideal Use Cases

  • Duty and professional applications on AR-platform rifles
  • Short-barrel hosts (10.3″ minimum barrel length)
  • Sustained or automatic fire where material durability is the limiting factor
  • Low-light environments where flash suppression matters tactically
  • Patrol, training, and competition on 5.56 NATO and .223 Rem platforms

Compatibility Information

Host Caliber Compatibility Optimized for 5.56 NATO and .223 Rem. The manufacturer rates the FireTeam556 specifically for these cartridges — do not use on larger calibers.

Minimum Barrel Length 10.3 inches. Shorter barrels generate pressure and dwell-time conditions outside the FireTeam556’s rated operating parameters.

Mount Compatibility The 1.375×24 HUB/Bravo thread interface accepts all standard Plan B-style quick-detach muzzle devices. TX Arms stocks Rearden HUB mounts as a compatible quick-detach option. Direct thread adapter sold separately.
