Chambered in 5.56 NATO and accepting .223 Rem, the DB15 runs a direct impingement gas system with a 16-inch barrel finished in black nitride. Because black nitride treatment penetrates the steel surface rather than sitting on top of it, the result is superior corrosion resistance and reduced bore friction compared to standard finishes — which means easier cleaning and more consistent performance across a range of conditions.
