Because BCM machines every internal diameter to tight Mil-Spec tolerances and then hones the barrel ID after finishing per the USGI TDP, the block seats square and true on the journal instead of fighting you during install. Moreover, two steel 10-32 x 3/16 knurled cup point set screws lock it in place, and they ship in the box. You choose the journal diameter that matches your barrel — either .625″ or .750″ — while every other spec stays identical across both options. Note that the gas tube roll pin is not included, so plan to supply your own.
