Because the Raptor-LT’s core is machined from 7075 T6 aluminum and hard coat anodized to Mil-A-8625F Type III Class 2 specifications, it carries the same durability as Radian’s original Raptor while shedding weight through a high-strength, fiberglass-reinforced polymer overmold on the latches. As a result, the finished handle weighs approximately 1.2 ounces, roughly 0.1 ounce lighter than the all-aluminum original, without giving up any of the patented ambidextrous latch geometry that made the Raptor line the benchmark in this category.
