The Glock G45 Gen6 ORS 9mm is the crossover pistol Glock should have built years ago — a compact slide on a full-size frame, now carrying every meaningful ergonomic and optic-ready upgrade Gen6 has to offer.

The G45 platform has always occupied a specific niche: the handling of a G19 with the grip real estate and magazine capacity of a G17. Because Gen6 touches every contact point the shooter interacts with, that formula now delivers noticeably better results. The new RTF6 dual-texture grip pattern extends across the entire frame, including the integrated thumb rest — the “gas pedal” position that competitive shooters have been gluing things to for years. Optic Compatibility The Gen6 ORS accepts red dots via three included mounting plates: RMR footprint, Shield/Delta Point/Holosun K pattern footprint. Because the optic sits in a recessed bed in the slide rather than on an elevated adapter, height-over-bore is lower than the previous MOS system. Optics with these footprints mount directly without aftermarket adapter plates.

Magazine Compatibility The G45 Gen6 accepts all standard Glock double-stack 9mm magazines, including those from Gen3, Gen4, and Gen5 models. Because Glock maintained full backward compatibility with Gen6, your existing 17-round, 24-round, and 33-round factory magazines function without modification.

Holster Fitment The G45 Gen6 uses the same compact slide dimensions as the Gen5, so existing G45, G19, and G19X-cut holsters generally fit. Shooters running an optic should verify optic clearance with their specific holster manufacturer before ordering.

Suppressor / Thread Pitch The G45 Gen6 barrel is not threaded from the factory. A threaded barrel from a compatible Gen6-pattern aftermarket supplier is required for suppressor use.
